Chevy graduated from Eastside Catholic high school in 2012, where he qualified for state multiple times in three different sports.
Chevy played for Portland State University, graduating in 2017. In 2015 they had the best season in school history, finishing 9-3 with an ranking of #6 in the nation and a couple of NCAA records.
After college Chevy started working at a local boys and girls club where he became an assistant director. At the time, he taught the importance of athletics and how team bonding can go a long way in not only school, but in life. He currently runs his own business “Chevy’s Enhanced Sports Performance” (or C.E.S.P for short), where he teaches athletes the fundamentals of exercise, proper running mechanics, and the importance of strength and conditioning for all sports. He believes that:
“There isn’t a age limitation on learning, anybody can learn and excel at any level.”
In addition to running his own business and working with LocalHoops, Chevy is working towards receiving a masters degree in special education. He's been coaching basketball for a couple of years now and this will be my first season with LocalHoops Academy!
