Kevin Davis went to high school locally at Bellevue Christian High school, graduating in 1992. While at Bellevue Christian Kevin played varsity basketball his Sophomore, Junior and Senior year. His varsity year he averaged just over 10 points per game. After graduating he went to Washington State University where he got hurt during his freshman year as a red shirt, ending his years in competitive basketball. He graduated from WSU in 1996 with a degree in psychology and speech communications.
Kevin has always enjoyed working with young athletes and teaching the game of basketball. He has over 12 years experience working as a volunteer with the Boys and Girls club, YMA and Little League baseball programs, including a seat on the board of directors with the Little League Baseball League in Renton for 2 years. From 2010 to 2013 Kevin ran a basketball program with 120 athletes and 4 staff for the Positive Alley program, where he met Kelly.
Kevin started working with Local Hoops in 2013 and has been with Kelly ever since. Working with a competitive AAU program has been very rewarding. Teaching top athletes to find their potential on and off the court is something Kevin would not change for the world. As a coach and trainer Kevin is truly getting to do something he loves every day. Over the 6 years he has been with Local Hoops he has gotten the opportunity to work with almost all the grade levels from 3rd grade to highschool. While with Local Hoops Kevin has won over 20 championships in various leagues and tournaments. As a trainer in the program Kevin focuses on foot work, shooting, repetitive muscle memory, agility, conditioning and defensive positioning.
