Micah graduated from Shorewood High School in 2010, where he was a 4 year varsity starter. He received All-League second team honors as a junior, All-League first team honors as a senior and led Shorewood to districts for the first time in 6 years.
Micah went on to play basketball for North Seattle Community College where a ankle injury prematurely ended his season. He continued to help coach and train kids with his old aau coach Carlos Humphrey (currently Girls Varsity Head Coach for Shorecrest High School) through 2012.
Feeling burnt out with hoops, Micah took some time away from basketball, then after about 3 years with no serious basketball time in his life, Micah rediscovered his passion and began training and coaching again. He most recently coached for Shorecrest Feeder program 13u boys in 2016/2017.
When he’s not in the gym, Micah loves to spend time taking trips with his girlfriend and their 2 dogs, working on cars, and capturing photos and videos with his drone. This is Micah’s first year with Local Hoops and he is looking forward to being around for a long time to come.
